Blind Gossip Blind Item - Cue The Wig

A couple of years ago, this popular former young adult TV and film actress really hit bottom.

She did eventually get help (involuntarily) and has been attempting to make a comeback. Her reps say she is doing well and that 2018 will be a big year for her and is choosing among several acting projects.

Not so fast.

Someone who knows her conveyed to us that she is not, in fact, well at all. They also told us that it is easy to tell when she is on her meds or off her meds.

"When she is off, she puts on a wig and those huge glasses. She does it because she gets very paranoid and thinks that those things hide her identity from people."

Yes, it is sad that she is not well. It is also sad when the people who are supposed to be helping her lie about it in order to try to get someone to hire her.

Blind Gossip Blind Item - Giving Over Pieces Of Her Life

This female singer is being lured in so gradually that she doesn’t even realize what’s happening to her.

She thought that her boyfriend’s new advisor was helping him ascend from his messy life. She was so impressed that she is now slowly giving over pieces of her own life to his organization.

It’s gone from once a week contact to daily contact. Each day puts a little more distance between them and their families and friends and team… and closer to one all-encompassing organization.

This is why her people are freaking out. They can see exactly what’s going on.

Drew Barrymore Covers InStyle Magazine

Drew Barrymore is on the cover of InStyle Magazine. Here are some highlights from her accompanying interview:

On getting into fashion design:
“I kept feeling this burning desire to build an apparel brand for women by women, to explore something romantic. I took it back to my love of tailoring and having been in a costume house my whole life. I have a body type that I tend to cover up. So it’s nothing tight, not big and boxy, more of a fluid drape that feels like the ’20s, ’40s, and ’70s. Not utterly casual but efforted in its effortlessness.

I’m very conscious about the way people feel. When I was making movies, I just didn’t want to tell a depressing story; I wanted to tell one about some type of self-improvement. I thought, ‘There’s enough shit in life. I want optimism and joy.’ At the same time, I don’t like magic-wand happy endings—and now I don’t like magic-wand makeup or magic-wand clothes.”

On her work ethic:
“From a young age I was overly passionate and thought everything lived and died in a professional atmosphere because, back then, it was really all I had. I didn’t have a family. I’ve been working as long as I can remember. When people say, ‘Be present,’ I want to punch them in the fucking face. I just get murderous. I think I find the advice ‘Just put one foot in front of the other’ far wiser. There’s a simplicity to that—a motion and an action.”

On her personality:
“My kids know I get a gleam in my eye when I feel like I’m being messed with. It makes them laugh...It is so much cheaper, faster, and more fulfilling to just be nice. Do you see the extremes now? “God or the devil, face ripper or ‘Take the shirt off my back,’ I definitely have a ferociousness. And I’ve always had it. I completely rebel against authority. Scrappy. I am very fucking scrappy.”

On her children:
“Today I picked Frankie up at the playground, and she let her cheek rest against my lips for a really long time. So I just hummed a song and didn’t really move so as to not break the moment. And, oh my god…I think I was actually being present today! But nobody was telling me to be, so I guess it’s OK. My girls make me stop—stop thinking and rushing and needing to do ... They make the whole world totally stand still. They are the love I’ve always wanted to know.”

And here it is. The official newsstand cover. Thank you for making me feel foxy. Acting like a women. Not just a overextended mom and worker bee! Sometimes playing dress up for any reason in the world can remind us “we still got it. And don’t lose it” because I know daily life isn’t like this. This is fantasy. A dream come true. Doing a magazine is a privilege. And a moment! This particular endeavor was worth sharing. As I am proud that it has a story and a cool angle. This issue inside the magazine has all different images, so let this leave you wanting more. The whole piece is just fun! And don’t we all just need fun in the world right now? Blind Gossip Blind Item - Sleigh Bells Ring A Ling

Here’s another set of celebrity couples that typically vacations together.

They’re very close. Well, to be more precise, two members of this group are very close… closer than they are to their own spouses!

So, one bought the other a very special – and very personal – holiday gift. No, he didn’t give THE gift. He gave A gift!

It’s a ring, engraved with the giver’s initials on it. How romantic! How thoughtful!

Wait a minute. Isn’t the receiver worried that their spouse will discover the special gift?

No. You see, this isn’t the kind of ring you wear on your finger. It’s a c*ck ring. And everybody in this foursome knows what’s what.

Jane Fonda's Great Expectations

Jane Fonda recently sat down for an interview with People. Here's what she had to say:

“I never pictured 30. I assumed I wouldn’t live very long and that I would die lonely and an addict of some sort. I didn’t think if I did live this long, that I would be vibrant and healthy and still working. I’m grateful.”

Her marriage advice:
“If you don’t feel seen, safe or celebrated, get out.”

On what she is most thankful for:
“I’m thankful that I’ve gotten better over the 80 years. I’m less judgmental. I’m forgiving. It wasn’t always true. I’ve really worked hard to get better as a human being.”

“Amanda is looking forward to ringing in the new year with her close friends this year. In 2018, she looks forward to completing fashion school and dipping her toe back into acting. She has had several offers but is waiting for the right one to come along for a comeback.”

Real Housewife of Beverly Hills Burgled

Kyle Richards and her family are vacationing in Aspen right now, so naturally the Bling Ring 2.0 stopped by her new Encino home to help themselves to some of her jewelry. TMZ reports that thieves made off with more than $1 million in jewelry, including $150,000 worth of her husband Mauricio Umansky's watches. The house does have a security system, but it was not on. A closet sensor was triggered at 1:15am by the burglars, and there are tons of surveillance cameras on the property, so hopefully the cops have a lead this time.

Blind Gossip Blind Item - The Fabulous Lure

This middle-aged businessman certainly knows how to lure younger male celebrities into his lair.

You already know that he has vacationed with this greatest film actor and this foreign sportsman. How does he do it?

"He has a fabulous life that becomes more fabulous the more people he can get to pay attention to him. So he pays male celebrities $250-500K per day to hang with him, plus all the drugs they want (if they use drugs). He shows them a good time, and they are “nice” to him in return."

Well, $500K certainly is more than most people make in a day of filming or sport.

Who is next?

"He has invited [two young male actors] and [a male singer] to be his guests over the winter holidays. Oh, and [a young female actress] just to try to dispel the gay rumors. I don’t know who has RSVP’d yet."

Blind Gossip Blind Item - Cash Cows Are Going Unmilked

This was supposed to be the marketing coup of a lifetime. The big cash cow. The opportunity to capitalize on a confluence of events that had been encouraged for years.

So… what’s the problem?

They can’t find anyone to pay their price for the big, exclusive cover!

"They supposedly want $5 million for the before shot and $10 million for the after shot. That’s too much. The big magazines will pay the top dollar for celebrities who are more rare. They are just too ubiquitous. They are everywhere, every day. Nothing rare about that."

That might explain why some in the group have been delaying announcements and hiding themselves. Not for privacy reasons, but to try to make themselves more “rare”?

There is still some time left on the clock, but they need to get that deal made. Last time one of them got too greedy… they wound up receiving nothing!

That Time Bono Almost Died

Bono is on the cover of Rolling Stone. Here are some highlights from his accompanying interview:

One thing this record seems to be about is survival. The survival of the world, and of our political system. But let's talk about your own survival. In the middle of recording, you had a near-death experience. Tell me what happened.
"Well, I mean, I don't want to."

I understand. I had my own experience recently. People want to ask about my health, and I'm hesitant to talk about it. Why do I feel that way? Am I ashamed? Is it weakness I am trying to cover up?
"It's just a thing that . . . people have these extinction events in their lives; it could be psychological or it could be physical. And, yes, it was physical for me, but I think I have spared myself all that soap opera. Especially with this kind of celebrity obsession with the minutiae of peoples' lives – I have got out of that. I want to speak about the issue in a way that lets people fill in the blanks of what they have been through, you know?

It's one thing if you were talking about it in a place of record like Rolling Stone, but by the time it gets to your local tabloid it is just awful. It becomes the question that everyone is asking."

But let's talk about it in an elliptical sense. I mean, it's central to the album.

"Yeah. This political apocalypse was going on in Europe and in America, and it found a perfect rhyme with what was going on in my own life. And I have had a hail of blows over the years. You get warning signs, and then you realize that you are not a tank, as [his wife] Ali says. Edge has this thing that he says about me, that I look upon my body as an inconvenience."

A few years ago, I visited you in the hospital with your arm in some kind of George Washington Bridge structure.
"After my bike accident, pretending it was a car crash."

It looked bad, and then the latest thing. That is a lot of brushes with death.
"There is comic tragedy with a bike accident in Central Park – it is not exactly James Dean. But the thing that shook me was that I didn't remember it. That was the amnesia; I have no idea how it happened. That left me a little uneasy, but the other stuff has just finally nailed me. It was like, "Can you take a hint?""

You are making the album and then all of a sudden you had to deal with your health issue. How did it affect the album and your vision of it?
"Well, strangely enough, mortality was going to be a subject anyway just because it is a subject not often covered. And you can't write Songs of Experience without writing about that. And I've had a couple of these shocks to the system, let's call them, in my life. Like my bike accident or my back injury. So it was always going to be the subject. I just didn't want to be such an expert in it.

I met this poet named Brendan Kennelly. I have known him for years; he is an unbelievable poet. And he said, "Bono, if you want to get to the place where the writing lives, imagine you're dead." There is no ego, there is no vanity, no worrying about who you will offend. That is great advice. I just didn't want to have to find out outside of a mental excursion. I didn't want to find out the hard way."

Blind Gossip Blind Item - Vacation Couples Tiff

These two famous actresses have been close friends for a long time. They have managed to support each other through marriages, divorces, various projects, and several plastic surgeries.

They normally go on vacation together during the winter. However, this year, there’s a problem. We don’t think the girls are having a tiff. We think the problem might be with the men.

"The two guys are chill on their own, but they don’t like each other. [One] was saying that he’d rather not spend his vacation time hanging out with “that addict.”"

Well, that kind of animosity would certainly make for a less-than-relaxing time!

Jemima Kirke Talks Weddings

Former Girls star Jemima Kirke recently sat down for an interview with W Magazine about her gallery show in which she did portraits of brides, including herself. Here's what she had to say:

Why did you decide to include yourself?

"Because I’m one of them—I’m one of these women who got married. It’s not even my own wedding that I’m thinking and asking myself questions about—it’s more my relationship to weddings. It’s like a pageantry in my head, as I’m sitting there watching everyone try their dresses on or thinking, 'Oh, I wish I could have done that.' And, you know, I just wanted to put myself in different dresses. [Laughs.] Because it’s about that, too. ShiShi wore my wedding dress because she isn't married, and that one was really important for me, because she was an extreme example of a woman who protests and questions and rebels against gender norms. She’s someone who has said that she doesn’t believe in marriage, and that she doesn’t want to get married ever. It’s something we talk about all the time, and especially when I was doing this project—we live together, she rents out a floor in my house—but actually one day she said to me, 'I want to wear a wedding dress.' I was surprised at her sort of coy desire to be in the costume, but she really did want it just like any other delusional bride-to-be. And she acknowledged that, too, which was really interesting to me—that no matter who you are, as a woman, there is still that fantasy story of wearing a wedding dress that can turn you all giddy."

So how did it go with your husband [Michael Mosberg, whom she also has two children with], then, when he saw your self-portrait where you definitely look somber?
"Well, he and I recognized that it was quite a poignant and self-reflexive painting, and both of us were really scared of those things at the time. That's one of the things I'm talking about: I think in marriage, you should be able to say to each other as couples, 'I don’t love you right now and it’s okay, hopefully we get back there.' I wish the conversation we had had gone, 'Yeah, I’m struggling in the marriage right now,' but I think it wasn’t something we were able to face because again, the societal consensus is that everything has to be either good or bad, or right and wrong. But it’s wrong to be married and be unhappy and stay."

Was your sister Domino at all hesitant to be a part of the series, since she got married so recently—and is clearly excited, since she actually had two weddings? Did you two discuss the more difficult aspects of marriage?

"No, and she did say she liked the painting, but I mean, what's she going to say? Some people aren’t ready to talk about the dark sides or negative aspects of something that they’re excited about right now. They don’t want to be bummed out. But with this show, I’m really not saying marriage is wrong and that you shouldn’t do it. All I ever ask for from people and from myself is to acknowledge that things have two sides, and there are dark sides to everything, and that’s okay. It’s okay to be married and to want to get married—it’s totally okay for a woman who’s a die-hard feminist to get married and have a husband. Two things can be true at once, but why can’t we talk about the hypocrisy of it as well?

There's this callout culture of people getting called out for having two opposing feelings, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong about that—that's a really black-and-white way of looking at things, and I actually think there’s art and excitement and beauty in those contrasts. Like, looking at ShiShi wearing my wedding dress was more interesting than looking at anyone wearing my wedding dress, because of the fact that she normally never would and it turned her into a different person—though if that happened on social media, she's probably get called out for being, like, a bad feminist. So yes, I’d like to be able to talk to women who just got married about the stupidity of the move that they made, without them thinking that they have to now change their minds or get divorced or not married. I just think it’s something we should ask questions about."

Did you already think this way about marriage, or was this an attitude you came to over the course of doing this show?

"This show was kind of just an excuse to just sit for hours upon hours and think about something until I turned to some sort of conclusion, although in the end, I only really had some, not a total one. One was that the only sincere, honest marriages are either green card marriages, or big fuck off performances where the bride’s doing coke in the bathroom and wearing a dress that’s, like, bigger than the whole room. Because that’s what it is—it’s a performance, and I love that. I love huge parties, and I love weddings if they’re fun. Since I don't actually care or want to drive four hours or get on a plane to go to your wedding, they really better be fun, but some people don’t even let you have a drink until after you’ve watched them get married. [Laughs.] I’m like, "What is this, it’s your party! Fuck you!""

Blind Gossip Blind Item - Reality Check For Famous Offspring

These children of two movie actors like to call themselves working actors. Except… none of them are working! While their parents can give them bit parts in their own projects, they are not scoring any major roles on their own.

So the kids are now talking about creating their own project… a reality show!

We don’t know how interesting they are, but they have a few things going in their favor. They like to party. They like to be seen on social media. They like to talk about themselves. They like to create controversy. And they don’t seem to mind taking their clothes off.

The only glitch is that reality producers want the parents, too. However, Mom and Dad still have careers and aren’t keen on doing reality TV themselves.

The kids are persistent, though. We’ll see if Mom and/or Dad acquiesce… or if the kids can find a producer who will take them without their famous parents!
