AC/DC's Malcolm Young Has Passed Away

Malcolm Young, guitarist and co-founder of AC/DC has passed away at the age of 64 following a battle with dementia. AC/DC released the following statement:

"Today it is with deep heartfelt sadness that AC/DC has to announce the passing of Malcolm Young.

Malcolm, along with Angus, was the founder and creator of AC/DC. With enormous dedication and commitment he was the driving force behind the band. As a guitarist, songwriter and visionary he was a perfectionist and a unique man.
He always stuck to his guns and did and said exactly what he wanted. He took great pride in all that he endeavored. His loyalty to the fans was unsurpassed.

As his brother it is hard to express in words what he has meant to me during my life, the bond we had was unique and very special.

He leaves behind an enormous legacy that will live on forever.

Malcolm, job well done."

Malcolm is survived by his loving wife O’Linda, children Cara and Ross, son-in-law Josh, three grandchildren, sister and brother. Read his full obituary at Rolling Stone.

Blind Gossip Blind Item - Leave Oddball Home

Although his famous wife will be attending the wedding of another celebrity couple, her musician husband does not want to go.

We think that’s a good idea. It’s not a question of his closeness to the wedding couple. It’s a question of his ability to control his own behavior.

"He is on meds and he is doing therapy, but he still has a problem with impulse control. He says and does odd things at odd times. Not in a psycho killer kind of way. Just in an irrational and unpredictable way."

Doesn’t sound like he should be left alone with the kids, either!

Popbitch Blind Item - Slip of the Tongue

Actors have long had to deal with amorous co-stars chancing their arm on stage in the name of art, but imaginative tales of vigilante justice rarely come this delicious. One theatre star who had to share a scripted kiss in a play with Charles Dance became very tired of his persistent habit of slipping her the tongue, so she hit upon a rather creative solution. One night she gave her boyfriend a blowjob backstage before the curtain went up, and deliberately didn’t rinse her mouth out before stepping on stage...

Blind Gossip Blind Item - Haters Want to Take Down This Actress

Watch out for the upcoming hit pieces on this very beautiful movie star who has risen to the top of the industry in the past couple of years thanks to a high-profile role.

"There are a few people in the industry like [names redacted] who hate how successful she has become and want to take her down. Watch for the upcoming stories that will try to make her out to be a horrible, devious, hateful, misogynistic, racist liar. Their goal is to have people protest at her movies and make her so controversial that nobody will want to hire her. I don’t know how she is going to fight all of them."

Wonder why they want to take her down?

Hope her publicist is ready!

Happy Third Anarchversary

We made it through another year! Happy Anarchversary, Anarchists!

As promised three years ago, Anarchy is still ad-free and mobile friendly. And because you sometimes ask, ad-free means there is no revenue. No money is made from this site. This site is not about clickbait and trying to drive up page view numbers to increase revenue, it is about you. It is about the community. And in my opinion, there shouldn't be a profit motive in building a community.

A couple of changes this year: I'm taking weekends off. Sort of. On weekends, all of the open posts will still go up (Reader's Choice, Politically Incorrect, and Free Skate). And Graham Norton and SNL videos will go up when they are in season. And if a big breaking news story happens over the weekend, it will get written up. So weekends will be lighter on the news posts, but the lights will still be on for everyone to come over and hang out.

2017 Has been a crazy year. Thank you for reading and commenting, for snarking and supporting your fellow Anarchists. You are all the reason that this site exists. You are one badass community. Let's make it another great year!

XOXO,
Outtie

Blind Gossip Blind Item - Singer Paid Every Penny

This singer is so full of bull that we almost don’t know where to start.

She is pretending to distance herself from a criminal member of her family, saying that she only has contact with them to please another family member.

"Her pretending that she doesn’t want anything to do with him is some serious bullshit. She is the one who told him to fight [the accuser]! She told him that [the accuser] was really after her (the singer’s ) money and that they needed to fight together to protect the family against liars blackmailers. She paid EVERY PENNY of his legal defense. Now that he’s been found guilty, she’s only trying to save herself and her own reputation by distancing herself. She still believes he didn’t do it."

Wonder if that news will break the internet?

Amber Heard Covers Allure

Amber Heard is on the December cover of Allure Magazine. Here are some highlights from her accompanying interview:

On training for Justice League:
“I trained with Gunnar Peterson here in L.A. I’d wake up, train, eat my hard-boiled egg and some kale and then go stunt or martial arts training. I spent about five hours of my day training. For my next movie I should be in sweatpants.”

On whether or not she feels like she has an absurd life:
“I have that moment a lo. When I’m suspended over a set in a bright blue Lycra onesie attached to these wires and a harness and I’m flying over the ocean and I’m asking questions like ‘Have I already done my hydrokinesis or are we speaking in a bubble?’ ”

On how she identifies:
“I don’t identify as anything. I’m a person. I like who I like. I happened to be dating a woman, and people started taking pictures of us walking to our car after dinner. I [was] holding her hand, and I realized that I have two options: I can let go of her hand and, when asked about it, I can say that my private life is my private life. Or I could not let go and own it.

Everyone told me: ‘You cannot do this.’ I had played opposite Nicolas Cage [in one movie], and in another I was playing opposite Johnny. And everyone said, ‘You’re throwing it all away. You can’t do this to your career.’ And I said, ‘I cannot do this any other way. Watch me.’

They pointed to no other working romantic lead, no other actress, that was out. I didn’t come out. I was never in. It’s limiting, that LGBTQ thing. It served a function as an umbrella for marginalized people to whom rights were being denied, but it loses its efficacy because of the nuanced nature of humanity. As we become more educated and expand the facts of our nature, we keep adding letters. It was a great shield, but now we’re stuck behind it. It’s so important to resist labels. I don’t care how many letters you add. At some point, it’s going to spell ‘WE ARE HUMAN.’ ”

Gal Godot is GQ's Wonder Woman of the Year

GQ has named Gal Godot their Wonder Woman of the year for 2017. Here are some highlights from her accompanying interview:

On how her life has changed since becoming Wonder Woman:
"I'm much more aware and alert. I don't want to seclude myself from society. I want to be part of everyone, and I enjoy talking to random people sometimes. It's easier for me here [in Israel], 'cause profiling people is really easy for me. Like, I can tell you that this group—they're good people. They're calm, nice. They're gonna clean after themselves when they leave. They don't look for trouble. This woman, is probably from Russia."

On being deemed an overnight success:
"It's funny,’cause I feel like I'm just in my beginning. After ten years [of acting], now I'm starting."

On being herself:
"I fought my accent for so long. Like, I gotta sound more American. I was a little bit shy about my accent. Until I let it go. My dialect coach told me, 'Just own your accent. As long as you're clear and understood, own it.' And since I've started to own it, I feel free. It's funny, 'cause language is about communication, and if you don't feel comfortable with your accent, you don't feel comfortable to communicate. If you learn that you're different and it's okay and you feel comfortable with it, then slowly other people start to feel comfortable with it.

I like it that it's a vulnerable place, and I expose it because I learn more [from] it. I wouldn't want to be in a place where I say wrong things and people are afraid to correct me… [Sometimes] I feel so stupid. Because in Hebrew, whenever I take interviews, whenever I speak to anyone—I read a lot growing up, and it's important for me to sound eloquent and have good vocabulary, and be really precise with what I intend to say—I have the grammar. But in English, it doesn't matter how many times I'll read—you know, I'll make a list of words that I like to use—it's just not in my DNA yet."

Blind Gossip Blind Item - The Newest PR Play

This poor little celebrity spawn. She is so desperate for attention and publicity that she is pretending to date a musician.

No, not the really, really famous one. She’s been chasing him around for months, but he keeps giving her the slip.

It’s a guy who’s newer on the scene.

New guy is actually hanging out with her in public… while denying that he is dating her in private. She keeps calling the media claiming otherwise.

They may hang out together because they both run in the same circles – and they both love publicity – but any “romance” between them would purely be a P.R. play.

Why? She’s not exactly his “type.”

Colin Kapernick is GQ's Citizen of the Year

GQ has named Colin Kapernick the 2017 Citizen of the Year. Here are some highlights from the accompany article, titled Colin Kapernick Will Not Be Silenced, in which 10 artists, activists, and academics shared what Kapernick's protest has meant to them, and what we should all do next:

Ava DuVernay
Filmmaker, Selma, 13th, and 2018's A Wrinkle in Time

"I see what he's done as art. I believe that art is seeing the world that doesn't exist. A lot of people excel at creativity—making TV, movies, painting, writing books—but you can be an artist in your own life. Civil rights activists are artists. Athletes are artists. People who imagine something that is not there. I think some folks see his protests, his resistance, as not his work. Not intentional. Not strategic. Not as progressive action. As if this was just a moment that he got caught up in. This was work. This is work that he's doing.

The last time I saw him was the night after Trump called him out at the Alabama rally. It was a really dynamic weekend. I had dinner with him and Nessa [Kaepernick's partner]. To be able to sit with that brother on this particular day—on the day between two historic cultural moments that swirled around him—was shape-shifting for me. Being able to observe that and witness his stillness and wisdom—I'm just really honored to know him. He's sitting there and I'm sitting there and I'm like, "Look at this brother—he's doing better than any of us would've done." A lot better. With a lot more elegance."

Harry Belafonte
Artist, activist, legend

"In my 90th year of life, to see people like Colin Kaepernick having gotten the message and carrying the cause forward is the greatest reward I could ask for. Colin is a remarkable young man. The fact that he spoke out on police brutality against young black men—I thought it was absolutely admirable. I'm prepared to do anything it takes and whatever steps I can to support him if this insanity continues.

And this is not just confined to black athletes—any person with a high profile has to consider their responsibility to help keep the nation honorable and honest. After all the courageous things that have been done by so many courageous people, it's a cop-out to not speak up. Trump has betrayed our nation. Taking a shot at him is worthy of all of us. Not being "political" is not a solution. Any young person who takes that position would have to ask Muhammad Ali and Jackie Robinson and so many of us if we had anything at stake. I know how someone who is young can get the feeling that this is the worst things have been. I see how someone could think that. But it's going to be okay. Even in the Trump era, America is going to be okay."

Cardi B Talks Success

Cardi B is on the cover of New York Magazine. Here's what she had to say in her accompanying interview:

On empty reassurances:
“They keep saying, like, ‘You got this,’ ‘You’re the one.’ Sometimes I get a little discouraged, and I wonder how it is going to be next year, but it seems like everybody already predicting where I’m gonna be next year, and it’s just like fucking farther than my asshole.”

On her song Bodak Yellow:
“It makes you feel like a bad bitch. It gives you this self-esteem. Sometimes I don’t feel like I’m the prettiest, sometimes I don’t feel like I’m on top, and when I hear ‘Bodak Yellow’ again, I’m like, ‘Yeah! I’m that bitch!’ ”

On wedding planning:
“The world is not ready for it. Everybody got to be wearing red.”

On working as a stripper after high school:
“I get really happy when people see me perform and they’re rapping my music, but it’s a different feeling when you’re dancing and the men throwing you money because you look good. It’s just like when the rice is getting thrown at the bride. That shit really make you feel powerful. It’s the power of the pussy. It’s just like you’ve got to finesse it...You know what, girl? I can tell you struggle with this. So I’m gonna just tell you this. If a guy asks you if you want something, don’t be shy and be like, ‘No …’ Say yes. Say yes to everything. ‘You want me to buy you some food?’ Yes. ‘You want me to buy you a car?’ Yes.”

On How The Late Carrie Fisher Advised Her To Not Shrink Away From Success, But To Enjoy It

On Finding Filming For The Last Jedi To Be Much More Pressure Than The first Star Wars Movie

'I didn't think I was good in the first film, and I was struggling with that.'

On How Having Fewer Scenes With Co-Star John Boyega In The Second Star Wars Briefly Stressed Her Out

'It's not this big adventure that I'm on with John [unlike the first movie]. I was thinking I did the first one because I didn't really know what I was getting myself into and I was having loads of fun, and suddenly I'm realising what this actually is, and I can't fucking do this. I'm highly dramatic – so it's all 'oh my God'…finally I was like 'Oh yeah, this is working.''

On Dealing With The Medical Condition Endometriosis

'I was in my flat going nuts, and then my skin got really bad in the stress of it all, and I hadn't been well – I had holes in my gut wall and stuff – and we were trying to figure out what to do with that because I'd felt poorly.'

On Meeting Barbara Streisand And Featuring In Her 2016 Album 'Encore'

'I went to her house and we talked about [psychiatrist and psychoanalyst Carl] Jung because my dad loves Jung, and we were talking about dreams, and I left and got super emotional, not because she's famous, but because she's amazing. Part of her reputation comes from being a woman. If it was a man being 'controlling' about his career, people would just say he knows what he wants.'

“That y’all must be running out of people. Like, Wow, we’re down to somebody who is somewhat symmetrical.”

On friend and former Sexiest Man Alive Adam Levine:
“I can’t wait to shove this up Adam’s ass. As proud as I am and honored that you guys asked me, that’s really the only thing I care about.”

On how he stays sexy:
It could be 2 o’clock in the afternoon before I eat and then I realize I’m starving, so then it’s a bag of Cheetos. And there’s a Sonic in town, they got jalapeno poppers. And then I’m not hungry again until 10 o’clock, well what’s in there? Fishsticks. And like a big pickle, those pickles that come in its own package with juice? It is really bad.”

On how this title will change his life:
“It’s going to be used in every conversation, whether it’s at The Voice, or at the feed in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, or in a conversation with a doctor. When [people] would say to Adam, ‘Mr. Sexy,’ you’d always see him go, ‘Well, awwww…’ If you say that to me, it’s going to be, ‘You’re damn right, I’m Mr. Sexy!
